TelcoBridges devices are included with an embedded linux host. Therefore, it is essential to shut down your unit properly. Not doing so may result in corruption of the file system. The following procedures apply to the following products: Tmedia, Tsig or Tsbc

Shutdown the device properly

WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF the power of your device using the power switch located at the rear, unless the Linux host has been properly shut down beforehand, using the reset button display, or manually using the shutdown shell command. Allow enough time for the Linux host to shut down before turning the power off (e.g. 2-3 mins). Be aware that the shutdown procedure of the unit is logged and traceable for support and warranty purposes.

Shell command

  • Connect to your device through ssh
  • Enter the shutdown command
   shutdown -hP now
  • Allow 2-3 minutes for the Linux host to shutdown entirely

Reset button

  • Hold for 1 second the reset button in front of the unit
  • Allow 2-3 minutes for the unit to shutdown entirely
