This procedure will show how to install a Toolpack system with host redundancy.
Requirements
- 2 hosts with the same OS installed (see Toolpack installation guides for more information)
NOTE: If you are migrating from a 1 host system to a 2 hosts system, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to do a database backup BEFORE starting the migration.
Installation
Make sure that both hosts have the Toolpack prerequisites installed.
Note: It is critical to use different MySQL server-id between host (see installation guides for more details)
Primary/Secondary host
You must assign one host as primary the other will be secondary.
- run the Toolpack installer on the primary host
- Run the installer on the secondary host
- Start Toolpack on the primary host
- Make sure that the primary host becomes master and setup both MySQL server correctly.
- Verify the status of the database in the web portal's welcome page(be patient, the process may take several minutes).
Once the primary host has become the master and all the stacks, tmedia are up.
- Start toolpack on the secondary host
