Prerequisites
The replacement of a standalone TMG3200 is comprised of three parts:
• Removing the defective unit
• Installing the replacement unit
• Startup
Removing the Defective Unit
• Shutdown the TMG3200
• Disconnect from the PSTN network
• Disconnect from the VoIP network
• Disconnect from the Tmedia Control network
• Disconnect from the Management network
• Remove the TMG3200 from the equipment rack
Installing the Replacement Unit
Rackmount the Replacement Unit The TMG3200 is mounted on a customer provided equipment rack using the mounting hardware packaged in the box. Refer to Section 2.2 “Rack Mounting Tmedia Equipment” on page 14 of the TMG3200_Installation_Guide_Issue3.3.pdf.
Starting Up the TMG3200
Click licenses -> Spare Activation
Enter the Serial number of your device
Select the device and click "Activate" for "Activate a spare part temporary licence of 30 days"
Once completed, click "Download" for version of your choice
Restoring a Backup Copy of a Database
Click licenses -> Temporary License
Enter the Serial number of your device
Select the device and click "Extend" for "Extend a loan temporary license for a period of 10 days"
Once completed, click "Download" for version of your choice
