The Point Code parameter has a number of meanings, which vary depending on the context in which it appears.

When Creating a Point Code

The Point Code parameter is used to define a point code by assigning it numerical values.

Values for this parameter are chosen from a series of drop-down menus. The values shown in each menu depend on the DPC Length chosen previously.

When Configuring an MTP3 Route

The Point Code parameter is used to associate a peer SS7 SP (DPC) with the MTP3 route. Available point codes are chosen from a drop-down list.
