The M3UA (Message Transfer Part 3 User Adaptation Layer) layer can be use in 2 ways, either to extend an MTP3 links, either to replace the MTP3 and MTP2 layer entirely.
When used in Toolpack, M3UA layer can be configure to be interface with either an NIF or ISUP/SCCP layer.
