G.722 refers to an audio codec for which two sub-variants are also available: G.722.1 and G.722.2 (also known as Adaptive Multirate Wideband or AMR-WB).
TelcoBridges and G.722
TelcoBridges supports the G.722.2 variant. Unlike GSM-FR, GSM-EFR or AMR, no additional license is required when using G.722.2 in a TelcoBridges-based production environment.
The following options are supported:
- packet duration options of 20, 40, 60, 80 ms
- bit rates of 6.60, 8.85, 12.65, 14.25, 15.85, 18.25, 19.85, 23.05, 23.85 kbps
TelcoBridges does not provide support for the G.722.1 variant.
