What is the maximum number of VoIP channels supported by the TMG800 and TMP800?

The TMG800 and TMP800 can be equipped with as many as 2 VoIP chips, on a single VoIP mezzanine or two VoIP mezzanines each equipped with a single VoIP chip. Therefore the maximum number of VoIP channels supported is 256 universal channels. When using lower complexity codecs, such as G.711 for example, the platform can support as many as 808 channels.

Supporting more than 256 channels can be useful in VoIP transcoding applications or media server applications. Recall however that the maximum number of TDM channels is 256.
