RoHS
Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (or RoHS) is a directive of the European Union concerning the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
TelcoBridges and RoHS
TelcoBridges endorses the action taken by the European Union in Directive 2002/95/EC concerning the Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
Our products meet the requirements of the European Union's RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC).
- TelcoBridges’ network monitoring products are considered to be part of category 9 “Monitoring and control instruments” and are therefore exempt of RoHS.
- TelcoBridges’ telecom products (see Tdev and Tmedia) are considered to be part of category 3 “IT and telecommunications equipment” and are therefore subject to RoHS except for “lead in solders for servers, storage array systems, network infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling, transmission as well as network management for telecommunications”, as indicated by section 7 within the annex to the RoHS directive.
We are working with our suppliers and partners to ensure that the solder used to produce our products is RoHS compliant. TelcoBridges is actively researching and assessing the impacts to product quality, long-term reliability and product performance as they relate to the elimination of environmentally significant substances defined within the RoHS directive.
