Adaptive Multi Rate (or AMR) is an audio compression scheme used in GMS and UMTS mobile networks.


TelcoBridges and AMR

TelcoBridges supports AMR encoding and decoding. The following options are available:

  • packet duration options of 20, 40, 60, and 80 ms
  • bit rates of 4.75, 5.15, 5.90, 6.70, 7.40, 7.95, 10.2, and 12.2 kbps
